One Picspam To Rule Them All...

So as most of you will already know I'm pretty obsessed with Lord of the Rings and given half the chance I would quite happily live in Mirkwood for the rest of my life! :P

So to celebrate that fact and also the superb picspam community that is [info]picspammy I decided to do a picspam. Enjoy! Oh and this is the extended edition of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King because really if you're going to watch these films the extended editions are the only way to go!

The picspam is pretty epic (just like the film!) with just about 250 images under that cut so if your computer likes to crash on you I'd recommend skipping this sparkly bunch of goodness!

AHHH FLISS THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can tell it must have taken you a long time with all those caps!!!! But your coloring is so crisp and clear and wonderful :D

I just watched this on TNT the other day and I love it!!! Eowyn is my favorite and she's so lovely, and that Mouth of Sauron bit scares the crap out of me!!!!

WHEE, my first great fandom love! Nothing will ever compare to the epicness of these films. Nothing. I can't believe it's been 5 years since ROTK came out either! I kinda wish it was still early days when I'd go the fansites daily to see if any new promo pics had been released, or if there were rumors of what had been cut out. *le sigh* Meeeeemoriiiies!

You did a great job with all these pics! So crisp and bright!

I love how absolutely epic they are, it's brilliant isn't it! I still miss everything about the run up to each film, I remember getting so excited knowing that they were only a couple of months away. I don't think there will ever be a series of films that will get me to fangirl as much as these did! Also, is it just me or do you want to see even more of the films?! I want to see every scene they filmed just because you know they're all going to be absolutely perfect LOL!

Oh crap Fliss, I totally lost it :( I'm a mess now! This movie completely owns me! The scene where Denethor tells Faramir to go back into battle to die :( And the scene where the book falls from Arwen's hands as she gets weaker :( OMG and every single one of Eowyn's scenes :( The bit where they're all saying goodbye to each other before Frodo leaves for the Grey Havens KILLS ME. It makes me want to go back and watch the behind the scenes footage on the extended edition, where they're talking about how awful that scene was to shoot! I love all the behind the scenes stuff - SUCH an adorable cast!

Honestly, I've always found LOTR caps notoriously difficult to work with. But you make it look so easy! Each and every one of these is literally STUNNING - your colouring is so clear and subtle and omg perfect. Thankyou for doing this ♥

OMG ME TOO!!!! It owns me SO hard!!! I LOVE EVERY SINGLE SCENE YOU'VE JUST MENTIONED THERE!!!! The bit at the coronation where every one bows down to the hobbits gah I cannot stop crying at that point, I'm completely gone LOL!!!!

Oh I adore the behind the scenes stuff, it makes me love the films even more and the cast commentaries are absolutely hilarious!!! Those extended editions have to be the best thing that has ever happened in the form of DVDs!!!!

A BEAUTIFUL picspam for a BEAUTIFUL movie!!! I love, love, LURVE this film (especially the extended edition), so thank you for doing this!! <3333 Especially since they just showed these films this weekend on the telly! lol (But the theatrical versions with adverts...boo.)

Thank you so much!!!! It really is the most beautiful movie I've seen, I adore it!!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, it really makes it worthwhile knowing that people love these movies as much as I do! Oh I get so nostalgic whenever the movies are shown on TV (though it should be illegal to put adverts in between these films!!!)

GUH! This is soooooo pretty! Your coloring works magic on these caps. They make the film even more appealing if that's even possible. Seriously, so amazing. I especially love anything Aragorn and Eowyn, especially Eowyn. My inner A/E fangirl was jumping up and down. Anyways, thanks for making me rewatch the movies for the 1000000x time. It has been a while since I've listenend to the commentary too.

OMG THIS IS GORGEOUS SWEETIE. I WANT TO EAT THIS POST. THE COLOURING IS STUNNIG.

LOTR is my all-time favourite movie. No other movie will ever beat it. And you're right, once you see the extended version, it's impossible to watch something else. I still haven't seen all the bonuses on dvds.

I love every single scene of ROTK. When Faramir goes to death and Pippin sings that wonderful song, when Sam carries Frodo to the Mount Doom, when everybody bow down to the hobbits, when they're all saying goodbye at Grey Havens - I cried like a little girl. These movies will always have the special place in my heart. I remember when ROTK won 11 Oscars. I stayed up the whole night to watch it and I was squeeing so hard when they won every single Oscar they could. I miss those times.

Mine too, it's absolutely brilliant isn't it! I love how this is like the best film of our generation LOL! Oh have you seen the little bit between Elijah Wood and Peter Jackson on the ROTK dvd when they're filming Frodo's final scene? It's heartbreaking because Peter doesn't want to say 'check the gate' and when he finally does they're all crying!

GAH THIS FILM OWNS US SO MUCH!!!! I remember watching it in the cinema and crying after the first half hour LOL!!!

GAH! This picspam is simply stunning. Your pictures are so clear and your coloring is gorgeous. ROTK is a wonderful movie and one of my favorites. I can't think of one scene that I don't love. I haven't watched it in forever and now I'm kind of mad I didn't bring the dvds with me school.

I am so so happy someone decided to do one of the LotR films. It's such a daunting task!

And, god, I have this massive love for the trilogy. I can't even put it on my favorite film list because it is so much more than that. It doesn't even compare. And how can it when it was such a huge part of my life for three-and-a-half years? Seriously, I'm getting all choked up thinking about it.

It was great fun to make though even if it was a little daunting!

Oh so do I! It'll probably always be my best set of films I've ever seen, I'll be showing it to my grandkids when I'm old and grey and they'll think I'm absolutely insane LOL! I miss the LotR fandom so much, everything seemed so happy all the time!

This is just SOOOO beautiful! I love the colouring!

I started working on FotR caps for picspammy but with work and everything I didn't have time to finish it, I'm glad someone did one of the LotR films! And you made it a thousand times prettier than I would have done. Thank you!
